| Title | Data Governance at FedEx: Focus on Quality and Master data management |
||
| Abstract | With the increased focus on Data Governance, controls, security and quality, FedEx is implementing 2 projects to ensure compliance. A first project focuses on implementing a Data Quality Process on address data. With support of Informatica Data Quality we will automate the processes to improve the quality of Marketing Customer Data. This project replaces an outsourced solution with an in-house approach and is a major step forward for the Marketing team. A second project, running in parallel, focuses more on Master Data. The objective of this project is to have a common approach for managing Master Data across the different Business Intelligence projects. The presentation will explain how these projects were approached at FedEx. |
